During his 7.5 years tenure, Krish was also CEO of Retail Business of Piramal Enterprises comprising of Shopping Malls, Department Stores, Supermarkets and Entertainment Centres & Managing Director of Piramyd Retail. He successfully concluded an IPO in December 2005. During this period he was also a member of several industry associations, notable among them being the role of Founding Member of Retailers Association of India. Harish Bhat is Brand Custodian, Tata Sons. He joined the Tata Group in 1987, as an officer in the Tata Administrative Service.
He is Chairman of Tata Coffee Ltd. He is also a Director on the Boards of several other Tata Companies, including Tata Global Beverages Ltd., Titan Company Ltd., Trent Ltd., Tata Starbucks Pvt. Ltd., Infiniti Retail Ltd., Tata Unistore Ltd. and Tata AIA Life Insurance Company.
During his career of 30 years with the Tata Group, Mr. Bhat has served in several senior roles. Mr. Bhat is an alumnus of BITS Pilani and IIM Ahmedabad, graduating at the top of his class in both Institutions. He won the IIM Ahmedabad Gold Medal for scholastic excellence in 1987. He has strong professional interests in strategy, consumer behavior, business economics and business history. Mr. Bhat is passionate about writing, and is a prolific writer who contributes regularly to various national publications. In 2012, his first book was published by Penguin. Titled “Tata Log”, the book narrates stories from the modern history of the Tata Group, set to an overarching theme. His second book, titled “The Curious Marketer” has been published in 2017 by Penguin Random House. This book discusses why curiosity is very important to marketers, and how they can improve their curiosity quotient.

Prior to this, Prasanna was working with Bayer Health Care Consumer Care as Head, Regulatory Affairs – APAC and with MSD Consumer Care as Regional Regulatory Director- APAC. In his career of more than 30 years in the industry, he has also worked for organizations such as Alkem Laboratories Limited, Aventis Pharma, Nicholas Piramal India Limited and GlaxoSmithKline Pharmaceuticals Limited. During his tenure with various esteemed companies Prasanna successfully worked on products from distinct categories such as Consumer/OTC, Rx to OTC switches, Cosmetics, Medical Devices, Ayurvedic preparations, Prescription Drugs (NCE/Generic), FDCs, Vaccines, Feminine Care products, etc. Prasanna has proven track record in adding significant value by keeping focus on business objectives.
Prasanna graduated in Microbiology followed by a Masters in Administrative Management and Ph.D. in Management Studies from University of Mumbai. In addition, he also has a Post Graduate Diploma in Foreign Trade from World Trade Institute, Mumbai. He is based in Mumbai with his wife and two sons.
